Roy Halladay says it is 90% certain he will not pitch in the World Baseball Classic and that is a shame. The WBC is searching for credibility and needs its stars to participate. The opening game of the WBC has Canada vs. USA in Toronto. Without Halladay, the most popular Blue Jays player, involved, there is one fewer reason to buy a ticket.

It's easy to laugh at the Tampa Bay Lightning, what with Barry Melrose flapping his gums, the bookie behind the bench and last place looking certain. Consider this: The Bolts have Steven Stamkos and could end up in position to draft John Tavares. That could be like Crosby-Malkin in the future.
