TORONTO (AP) - The Toronto Blue Jays confirmed Saturday that they have fired Bart Given as vice president of baseball operations and assistant general manager.
No reason was given for the move.The 35-year-old Given was appointed to the job in November 2004.
The team said Given's duties will be handled by front-office staffers Tony LaCava and Alex Anthopoulos.
