The TORONTO BLUE JAYS are preparing for an exciting 2009 season and on FEBRUARY 20 everyone can get in on the action. Starting as early as 8:00 a.m. ticket sales channels will be open to the public for the purchase of 2009 game tickets. Group tickets and luxury suites are all still available for purchase.
From 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., ticket purchasers can call in their orders to 1-888-OK-GO-JAY (416-341-1234). Fans can also head down to the Blue Jays Box Office at Rogers Centre from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. to purchase tickets in person. The 2009 TORONTO BLUE JAYS schedule begins at home in Toronto with a four game series against the Detroit Tigers starting on Monday, April 6 at 7:15pm. The Blue Jays will play 36 of their 81 home games against their divisional rivals from the AL East, hosting the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays nine times each.
To coincide with the full launch of ticket sales, the Toronto Blue Jays have partnered with BREAKFAST TELEVISION on Citytv to send a lucky viewer and guest to Spring Training in Florida.
Launched Monday, February 16, at 6:00 am on BREAKFAST TELEVISION, viewers all week are able to enter the contest at www.bluejays.com/btcontest for a chance to win a spring training package worth $2,500 CDN. The event culminates with a draw, held Friday February 20, 2009 at 6:30 pm with the winner being announced live on-air during BREAKFAST TELEVISION Monday, February 23, 2009. The grand prize winner will receive round trip airlines tickets for two along with game tickets, invitations to the exclusive Toronto Blue Jays team barbeque, hotel accommodations, spending money and Blue Jays merchandise.
