In Tuesday's game against Cleveland, Lind collected three hits and five RBIs, three of them courtesy of a second-deck home run he smashed in the Jays' seven-run seventh inning.
The 3-for-4 day in the 10-6 Jays victory upped his average to .333, while the five RBIs gave him 29 on the season, second in the American League to Evan Longoria's 31.
"It's definitely not what I anticipated," Lind said of his season to date. "I was just hoping to stay here all year for the first time, and that's still my goal."
Lind's homer, off left-hander Tony Sipp, was his sixth of the season, placing him in a tie with Aaron Hill for the team lead.
Lind has yet to run into a slump this season. He served notice that 2009 may be his breakout year when, in the season opener against Detroit, he went 4-for-5 with a homer and six RBIs. He's stayed hot ever since, his average never dipping below .300.
"We'll always keep tweaking and honing in our swings, and I'm just trying to stay consistent and stay comfortable in the box," he said. "One swing and you can put yourself in a slump. I just want to try and stay comfortable up there."
BLUE JAYS 10, INDIANS 6: The Jays came back to split the two-game series with a seven-run seventh inning highlighted by DH Adam Lind's three-run home run. 3B Scott Rolen followed Lind's homer with a solo shot, giving the Jays their first back-to-back homers of the season. It was Rolen's first home run since April 15.
LHP Scott Downs didn't earn a save, but he came on in the eighth and recorded the final five outs, allowing one hit while striking out three.
