--OF Travis Snider was 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in his major league debut Friday. Snider, 20, the Jays' first-round draft pick in 2006, was brought up from Class AAA Syracuse after the Jays designated DH Matt Stairs for assignment following Thursday's game.
--The Jays have now gone a season-high 10 straight games (89.0 innings) without committing an error. They have not gone more than 10 consecutive games without committing an error since Aug. 19-29, 1986 (11 games).
--The Jays had their record slip to 19-28 in one-run decisions (6-18 on the road) after dropping Friday night's contest versus the Yankees by a score of 2-1. They have now lost four straight one-run contests. The Jays have been involved in 47 one-run contests this season, which ranks as the most in the majors.
